WEEE Centre is an electronic waste disposal and recycling company based in Nairobi, Kenya. WEEE Centre also has various collection centres in regional cities in Kenya. Electronic waste is collected from communities, taken to collection centres, and later taken to the main processing facility in Nairobi.
The start-up Hiveonline links unbanked and remote communities of African smallholder farmers to financial services and trade opportunities to improve their livelihoods and financial stability. We partner with off-takers and banks to build an economic ecosystem for fair trade and access to formal credit for these communities.
The Danish Red Cross has around 255 thrift shops run by 10,000 volunteers, generating a substantial economy for its activities. The products range from clothing to furniture, accessories for your interior design, not to mention all the odd donations that make their way through the Danish Red Cross Shop to a customer.
Children’s Vision is a program that was developed by the Youth sector volunteers, within the Lebanese Red Cross. Targeting one of the main needs in its community: overcoming difficulties as teenagers (such as social withdrawal, extreme stress, alcohol abuse, substance use, bullying, etc). Offering a Youth-Friendly space, through which they can develop their skills and acquire new information.
